“In every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.” — Great Law of the Iroquois Confederacy
When driving down the high way, walking in the park or spending time at the beach, I’m bothered by the amount of trash I see. Foam cups, plastic bags, soda bottles and cans seem to be everywhere. It makes me sad that our Earth, our home is not being taken care of.
I was at the beach the other day, watching fishermen fish as trash surrounds them in the water and on land. I cringed when thinking they are going to eat fish that are in polluted water, water that they themselves have polluted with their trash.
I’ve started this Project because I want to personally learn how to be more environmentally conscious as well as show others ways to live more green. I am creating this blog to document my journey to becoming more green. I hope that I will inspire others.
My Goals are to:
1. Reduce my consumption of good (plastic bags, bottles, take out containers, etc.) to create less waste.
2. Recycle more.
3. Use, reusable products.
4. Be a conscious shopper. I want to know who I am buying from, what their policies are and what they are doing to help the environment.
5. Learn it, live it and share it.
